The Fusion series pursues the challenge and technical achievement of precision glassblowing. The application of the second colour introduces the individuality of the handmade process. A decorative technique that could not be machine-made.
About the artist
Madeline completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts at the Australian National University under Richard Whiteley before moving to Adelaide, she is currently undertaking the Glass Studio Associate Program at JamFactory. She has worked for numerous artists at ANU and Canberra Glassworks including Nadege Desgenetez, Brian Corr and Simon Maberly. Madeline was a finalist in the ‘Inaugral student art glass prize’ at Wagga Wagga Art Glass Gallery and was granted the Pilchuck Glass School scholarship in 2010 attending Italian maestro Davide Salvadore’s class.
